Minute

I only have a minute
Only 60 seconds in it
Forced upon me can't refuse it
Didn't seek it, didn't chose it
But its up to me to use it
Just a tiny little minute
But eternity is in it

A MINUTE!!!!!

umbrella

You had my heart, and we'll never be world apart
Maybe in magazines, but you'll still be my star
Baby cause in the dark, we can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share

Because
When the sun shine
We'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath imma stick it out 'till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

Fancy things, will never come in between
You're part of my entity, here for infinity
When the world has took it's part
When the world has dealt it's cards
If the hand is hard, together we'll mend your heart

Because
When the sun shine
We'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath imma stick it out 'till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

You can run into my arms
It's okay don't be alarmed
Come in to me
There's no distance in between our love
So go on and let the rain pour
I'll be all you need and more

Because...

When the sun shine
We'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath imma stick it out 'till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

It's raining (raining)
Ooo baby it's raining
Baby come into me
Come into me

It's raining (raining)
Ooo baby it's raining
You can always come into me
Come into me
It's pouring rain (pouring rain)
Ooo baby come into me

What Shall We Do

What Shall We Do?

Here now, for evermore, our lives must part.
My path leads there, and yours another way.
What shall we do with this fond love, dear heart?
It grows a heavier burden day by day.

Hide it? In all earth’s caverns, void and vast,
There is not room enough to hide it, dear;
Not even the mighty storehouse of the past
Could cover it, from our own eyes, I fear.

Drown it? Why, were the contents of each ocean
Merged into one great sea, too shallow then
Would be its waters, to sink this emotion
So deep it could not rise to life again.

Burn it? In all the furnace flames below,
It would not in a thousand years expire.
Nay! It would thrive, exult, expand and grow,
For from its very birth it fed on fire.

Starve it? Yes, yes, that is the only way.
Give it no more food, of glance, or word, or sigh,
No memories, even, of any bygone day;
No crumbs of vain regrets – so let it die.

Outsourced

I sit and think of what I've become, my heart has been outsourced
I cant help but notice that life is more dull, perhaps its just my mind filled with remorse.
When things were good, they were grand there was no worry in the world. But when things turned bad the turned for the worse and my life became a living hell.
I sit and think about the strife I've caused and the burdens that I hold
No more memories to remember or pain to feel or horrible stories to be told.
They say Every life has its beginning and every story has its end, when this life is over and the story is done there will be an end in my sin.
The leaves turned brown and the flowers decayed, and the summer has faded away,
Fall has passed years ago and winter will be here to stay.

To My Best Friend!

Where did you go and why did you leave?
You were my heart, my sister, my best friend indeed.
Since you've been gone I have not be whole.
I thought you'd be there until I got old.

The laughs, the cries, the smiles, the tears,
We grew together, we conccured our fears.
We lived, we loved, and remained friends the entire way.
I wished and I prayed we would still be friends today.

The memories we share and the time that we spent,
The loved that you showed and the places we went,
Where oh where my friend have you gone?
I don't know, but return soon, its been too long.

I Don't pretend

I don't pretend to know what love is, but I know it when I see it. I don't pretend know how it feels but I know that i can sense it.
I hear stories of love from a variety of sources; elderly couples, young couples, odd couples, movies and shows, honestly too many to name. One quality that seems to play a huge role in the concept of love is the element of respect. It's like respect and love go hand in hand. Knowing and loving someone means that you know and respect their values (not necessarily agreeing with them). If you know and respect someone's values, then a relationship (platonic or romantic) can be great deal smoother and a lot happier. When a persons values aren't respected then a relationship is destined to fail eventually. Therefore if your having problems in your relationship, take the time out to strengthen that pillar of respect that way your relAtionships foundation can be a lot stronger and withstand a lot more!

Family

No matter how old you get, you will always need your family. I'm so happy that I was blessed with another year to enjoy thanksgiving with the ones I love.

No matter how much I change or how much I fight and argue I know that my family is always on my side. In my opinion thanksgiving shouldn't be the only day that we come together and appreciate each other. I realize that everyday I wake up, I should thank God for my life, as well as the people he has placed in it.

LOVE HARD, LIVE LONG, THANK GOD IN ALL THINGS

A CHANGE!!!!

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Hardest yet most mature act of transformation is refusing to result back to the "ways" that you were once used to

For those of you who Know me, i have been undergoing a spiritual and moral transformation over the past 3 years. In my experiences i notice that i am quick to result back to ways that i handled and dealt with things prior to Christ.I think it easy (although wrong) to fall back on how we use to do stuff, its second nature. When arguing with someone it is easy to intentionally offend them, When we are angry with someone it is easy to provoke and antagonize them, but when we are made new in the spirit all of this is supposed to change.

The word of God reveals a dunamis (power) in the blood of Christ that is all sufficient to cleanse us from the  root of sin found in man after the fall of humankind. The Holy Spirits power is a dynamite and  explosive power that is capable of all. The Holy Spirit has power to perform miracles, has the power to set free, has the power to heal. In My opinion, if the Holy Spirit has the power to do such great and miraculous things, then why is it that we hold on to the old ways that we were used to?

In Ephesians 4 Paul talks about the nature of man in regards to believer; exploring a compare and contrast model of the Old person and The New person (Born In Christ) and the difference in spiritual and natural qualities.. (Read it Here).

With the Holy Spirit dwelling in us we have power over our old nature, to subdue our it and make it subject to our new man. As the illustration used earlier, these two natures are in conflict with one another, both seek to master the body. We must choose to enable the God’s Spirit to have power in our life, by starving our old nature and feeding our new nature.

Basically in so many words, we have a choice to live in the ways of the Old man, or to allow Gods Spirit to take the lead.
When we start allowing the spirit to lead us, just as Paul mentions in Ephesians 4, his spirit will be illuminated through us.
Are you ready to allow him to take the wheel?

Let Jesus Take the will, to make the change in your life....

Lord Help Me.

I think that leadership is an important role in any group setting. Leadership is not something that we learn, leadership is not something that we can turn on and off. In my opinion, leadership is more or less a Lifestyle then an act. How can a leader implement rules and statues to his(her) followers without those rules being an inseparable part of their genetic makeup? I hope that we can get it together soon, because our ship is sailing, I dont want to miss it.

FRIENDSHIP

In every healthy relationship/friendship i notice one thing that they all have in common, unselfish love. When i mean by unselfish love is the general care and concern for the other person(s) in that relationship. In a healthy relationship friends hold each other accountable for actions, priories, and countless other measurements of moral and ethics. In the past few years I have REALIZED that friends are very hard to come by. In a lifetime of betrayal, let downs, and deception, a person is lucky to have experienced first hand the fruits of a real friendship. As I look back over the past several years of my life i have notice that i have had my share of great friends. Julio, Mr. Smith, Julius, Jason, Coop, Jon, Fred, My Lb's and the one we call Ducky, have been there to share the burdening blessings of life. At the drop of the dime i believe that any of these people will be there for me in the time of need. All of these persons at one time in our friendship have bumped for me during life's attempt to HAZE me; standing in the trenches fighting along side me. Most people in this list have rebuked me and corrected out of love, in an effort to keep me spiritually or morally in line. Three people of this group share my closest secrets, i have full faith that they will keep them dear to  their hearts.  Every last one of the people in this group i will lay down my life for. There is a special place in my heart (NO HOMO) for each person. No matter how long time goes by, no matter how long it takes us to talk, no matter how mad we get at each other, the love that i have for them will never die.
The epitome of friendship is Christ. Christ walks with us daily, he talks with us secretly, he shares in our passions as well as pains. Christ accepts us at our lowest, and rejoices at our peaks. Christ rebukes us when we are wrong, and he forgives us when we offend him. Christ is has always been there and he always will.

Psa 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Psa 133:3  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH

This video is a type of Passion Narrative, very powerful and filled with imagery. I was browsing through YouTube Looking for inspiration and guidance on learning new types of  music and I found this video. Basically its a story of a child who loves his father, adores him, and admires who he is, ultimately the unconditional love that we (Christians) are supposed to have for each other. The father is a dead beat who doesn't realize the special gift he has right in front of him (his son). He (the father) keeps shying away from his son, even in the midst of the son suffering, the father turns his back.  The son in obvious pain, he only sees his Dad once a year. As the father turns to leave the son (once again) the son spreads his arms and says "I love you this much". The son is waiting for the father to come to the realization that he Loves his son as much as his son loves him.

The climactic event in this video is at the fathers funeral, the child is now a young man. As the young man goes to say his last goodbyes, he looks up and see's Christ on the chapel wall. In a dramatic change of events,  the child seems to hear Christ speak to him. The same words that the son uttered to his father when he was a child are the words that Christ utters to him. The same gesture (stretched out arms) that the child showed his father, was how he saw Christ in the chapel.

After watching this video, I thanked God for allowing me to have parents and grandparents, and family that played a vital part in my life. The pain that this child had to endure was intense. What really hit home for me is the fact that Christ love was displayed on the Cross. He didn't just die on the cross for us, he offered his life, that we might have a more abundant life. He loves us this much, he has been waiting for us. Its time to answer the Call.
