Attitude

The longer I love, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church....a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.” ― Charles R. Swindoll

Health Blueprint

I started this daily bible reading plan. The main focus of this reading plan is to help integrate health with faith. I feel that faith emphasizes a great deal on the spiritual aspects of the individual, often neglecting the natural side. On the introductory lesson I was instructed to create a Health Blue Print. The Health Blue Print is an overview of the goals that I would like to achieve and maintain in my life. The goals cannot be vain (Six pack for the ladies), they cannot be unrealistic, and they cannot extremely hard to obtain. The goals must be attainable and must be able to be carried out over a long period of time.
A key point was made in the first lesson, it was the approach in which someone would succesfully reach their health goal. The mindset of accomplishing the goal overtime needs to be a constant state of mind. By starting off small and increasing the levels of difficulty and dicipline over time, the goals will be more sustainable and are less likely to be abandoned later on!

My health goals are as follows:
Establish better eating habits
Maintain at least %10 body fat
Have a balanced workout routine (weights, Cardio, stretching).
